About Dr. Deepti Thakkar

Dr. Deepti Thakkar is a General, Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon practising in Hyderabad since the past 7-8 years. After completing her MBBS in the prestigious KEM Hospital of Bombay, she went on to do her post graduation in General Surgery at Holy Family Hospital and Research Institute in Bombay. Her interest in Bariatric and Laparoscopic Surgery brought her to Livlife Hospitals in Hyderabad where she underwent training under the guidance of renowned Dr. Nandakishore Dukkipati, an expert in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. 

She also stood first in the exam of Fellowship of International Bariatric Club (FIBC) which tests and awards fellowships in Bariatric Surgery to surgeons all over the world. She currently works at Livlife Hospitals and Birthplace Hospital in Hyderabad. She is particularly interested in creating awareness about women related surgical problems and breast cancer and has published multiple blogs and videos regarding the same. She also regularly contributes talks and research articles in various conferences. Being a Gujarati herself, she is also involved in creating health awareness among the Gujarati population in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. In her spare time she is an avid reader and painter.
